Dog-Owning Redditors Share Their Most Lightheartedly Controversial Dog Opinions

Controversial opinions are an interesting phenomenon. Today we are putting an extra spin on controversial opinions, a spin of the lighthearted variety. The original poster of this Reddit thread challenged doggo owners everywhere to share their most lighthearted controversial dog opinions. And of course, the dog owners of Reddit did not disappoint. We expect nothing less from them. 

Pretty much any pet owner can tell you that there have been many a time when their pets popped into their heads and disrupted their train of thought. Much like being parents to human children, being parents to pet children also consumes a lot of time and mental space! Folks took to Reddit to respond to this paradox of a question and it got a LOT of attention.  Because you just never know what is going to happen next when you start scrolling through Reddit.

    Font - Mine is that y'all are way too uptight about bathing! Folks act like washing your dog is gonna strip all their natural oils and give them allergies. Dog shampo0 is purposely very mild and you could be washing your dog more often than you do. 1421 Comments Award •..

    Font - calificen · 3 days ago Tiny dogs in littler sweaters are fine as long as they are weather appropriate and pet safe! My little chi got cold often and was not used to the cold weather climate of the new place we moved. She would regularly need at least a little sweater when it was chilly. People act like I'm doing for giggles. I wanted her warm and cute!

    We have NO problems with tiny doggos, or doggos of all sizes for that matter, rocking cozy sweaters and neither should anyone else!

You do you but it seems to me, that the raw side of the debate also still tries to sell me stuff like supplements or recipe plans. They argue that the kibble companies are just all in for the money (well they are businesses, not registered charities) but then the raw side wants to make money too. Whatever I say to either side is seen as controversial.

    Font - hauselfchen · 3 days ago Yelling at your dog when he does something he's not supposed to, especially when it's potentially dangerous to him or you, is ok. You got scared, you screamed, it stopped the behaviour. Is it the method of choice? No of course not, but unless your dog came from an abusive home, he's not gonna be traumatized by you raising your voice once in a while.
